Known for its sting, Nettle has long been appreciated for its medicinal uses. Nettle's key traditional use is as a cleansing detoxifying herb. It has a diuretic action, probably due to its flavonoids and high potassium content. Also helps increase urine production and eliminate waste products. Helpful in many skin conditions and arthritis. Nettle is an astringent and slows/stops bleeding from wound/nosebleeds and helpful to decrease heavy menstrual bleeding. 
Nettle is antiallergenic and helpful in treating hay fever, asthma, itchy skin conditions, and insect bites.
